 Coppersons

Coppersons (Coppercube persons) is an evolution of my original prototype ‘Generative Artificial Intelligence Non-Platable Characters’ (GenAINPC), released in July 2025.

• What’s the idea?

The idea is to use LLMs (Large Language Models) to control non-playable characters (NPCs) in 2D or 3D games and make them have more agency within their worlds. The goal is for these NPCs to be able to engage in more natural conversations and dynamic interactions beyond the typical

dialogue options, making them feel more "alive."

• Coppersons?

I decided to use the Ambiera Coppercube engine because it consumes very few resources, even in scenes loaded with particles and effects. This allows the GPU (or RAM and CPU, if not) to remain mostly free, enabling the LLM to run without interruptions or frame drops in the game/3D engine.

Since the system uses the Coppercube engine and the goal is to create NPCs that are more agent-like, like real people, that’s where the name comes from.

The .zip containes the protype executable. The .ccb file (coppersube project/source code) and the rest.  You will need a local LLM server (LMStudio, GPT4ALL, KoboldCpp, etc) that accept curl and a reasoning model.
